Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Snappatar (the "Service"), a browser-based studio for designing AI characters and generating images, speech and video from them. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. What the Service is
Snappatar is a tool. It sends your prompts, reference images, voice clips and settings to third-party AI model providers (currently fal.ai and, for the free image model, Pollinations) and returns the results to you. Snappatar does not train models on your content.
2. Bring your own key
Paid models run on your own fal.ai account. You paste your fal API key into the Service; it is stored only in your browser and sent with each request so that generation is billed to you by fal.ai under fal.ai's own terms. You are responsible for keeping your key secret and for all usage and charges on your fal.ai account. Snappatar never stores your key on its servers.
3. Free model
A free, keyless image model is offered for trying the Service. It is provided as-is, may be rate-limited or withdrawn at any time, and is subject to a daily limit per account.
4. Your content and responsibility
You keep all rights you have in the prompts and material you upload and in the outputs you generate, to the extent the law and the model providers' terms allow. You are responsible for what you create with the Service. You must not use it to:
- create content depicting real people without their consent, or that impersonates a real person or organisation;
- create sexual content involving minors, or content that is illegal where you or the depicted persons live;
- harass, defame or deceive others, or produce disinformation presented as genuine;
- infringe others' copyright, trademarks or personality rights;
- attack, overload or reverse-engineer the Service or the providers behind it.
Outputs are AI-generated. Where you publish them, disclose that when the platform or law requires it.
5. Accounts
You need an account to save projects. Keep your login credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.
6. Availability and changes
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties. Models, prices and features are set by third-party providers and can change or disappear without notice. We may change or discontinue the Service at any time. We are not liable for lost content, lost profits or indirect damages; our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for the Service in the preceding twelve months, which for a free Service is zero.
7. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting us. On deletion we remove your saved projects.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes are settled by Swedish courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection where you live.
